POETRY

My poetry is messy. Grammatically, conceptually, etc. Because my mind is messy and poetry, to me, means bleeding. I try to keep my poetry as from-the-guts as possible, with minimal editing and an embracing of mistake. I move through the world questioning my mind, and poetry is the space that I try to protect from that. And I think, and hope, this produces vivid and intimate work, that spans from exploring childhood to the state of the world and my place in it.
